Probably a question for Pat or Trev. Are SBS distributing B treated baits yet?? I have quite a few anglers asking me where they can buy some treated pellets etc. I usually give them some of the treated baits I have done for myself to last them the session but seems more people want to try it. Jamie

Hi Jamie Good question - Des told me just yesterday he got the packaging in for the SBS line of Biosource products. SBS intend to launch in the Spring, so look for details in the angling press in a couple of months. Due to the fact that it's just too cold to fish at the moment things are on the back burner for a couple of months! Having said that, anglers should feel free to ask SBS how things are going at their site too though: www.sbsbaits.com Cheers, Pat

Hi Jamie.
Great to hear that anglers are asking after where to get some Biosource products. If people start to ask SBS baits for some I am sure it will lead to a speed up in availability. It might also start to create a buzz around takle shops, and in turn them asking SBS for products.
Great stuff Jamie.
Trev.

Des sent me a large .pdf with his spring catalogue - I counted at least 20 products, both big carp and match.
What I'm really excited about are the porous boilies - they leak 'B' at just the right rate and have been pretty amazing during trials. He has big and small sizes etc.

8-)Hi All
I just got copies of the product labels to be used on the SBS line of B treated match baits. Lots for the match angler - here's the complete list of products (all available in fruit, fish or N-buytric flavours):
Pellets Groundbait Super additive (B powder) Pole potting juice (dissolved B ) match boilies paste (same stuff boiled to make the boilies) groundbait mixer

When will these be out and will sponsored anglers be able to try and test them and new products?? ps. Had 2nd club match of year today and won convincingly. I had 93lb of carp on poled B treated corn over B treated corn and micro pellets. 2nd weighed in 30lb 12oz and 3rd 24lb 8oz. Either side of me had 23lb 10oz and 16lb

Hi Jamie
Great result - good to see you are getting into the swing of things!
The SBS bait formulations were mostly based off what we all have discovered from our trials and tests over the last couple of years (this was one of the main ideas behind sponsoring anglers in the first place, so great job there everyone!). This is the way I'd like to carry on - I'd like to see you guys really push the envelope with regard to trying new things with B rather than relying on commercial products.

do you think the flavours they have mixed them with will enhance it any more??

Hi Jamie.
We all have our favourite combinations of flavours, colours etc. I do know Des and his team have had many a success with his flavours, but who knows on any given day what will come up trumps. All waters seem to respond to some flavours better than others, so I like to go with ones I have found best for me, on those given waters. But saying that I am willing to try any colour, flavour or combination to try and catch more fish.

8-)The good thing using neat B ('super additive' from SBS, Compulsion from Wacker in the USA) is that you can use it with any flavour you want - these may or may not be the ones selected by SBS - it's totally up to the angler....
Remember that B is not a flavour (and is not affected by flavours) so can be used with pretty much anything. Don't forget that B is a feeding stimulant, not an attractant. You also need flavours to bring fish in - B just makes them eat when they get there!!!

:)Forgot to menton....
In addition to all the match fishing goodies mentioned previously, SBS are also bringing out a complete range of Big Fish baits and ingredients - boilies (popups, freezer and readies), base mixes, paste, dips, method mixes, bag mixes etc.)
Look for full details soon at the SBS site (sbsbaits.com)
