Yesterday I went and fished the I&M canal at Morris. Fishing with biostim mixed into my ground bait, and using biosource infused corn for hook baits. Started fishing at 9.15, after a cold night 34F I cupped in a small ball of groundbait and fished corn over the top, then topping up every 8-10 minutes using the toss pot, and changing hook bait every time to ensure plenty of flavor and additive remain with the bait. After 25 minutes I got my first bite, missed it, re dropped the bait back in and I was rewarded with an instant take, a carp of about 3lbs. Then waited about 10 minutes before another bite, which I had on for sometime, but alas it got into some weeds and came off. Things then started to pickup with bites coming regularly, a small catfish, a larger carp of about 7lbs followed by regular bites. I lost 8 fish, 2 rigs under a huge mat of floating weed, but managed to land 12 carp and 2 catfish for a bag weighing 84lbs. I fished until 1.45 total 4 1/2 hours fishing. I would have fished longer, but the wind had got up, and holding the pole at 11.5 metres had become difficult. Still a great day out. Trevor
