:)Forgot to menton....
In addition to all the match fishing goodies mentioned previously, SBS are also bringing out a complete range of Big Fish baits and ingredients - boilies (popups, freezer and readies), base mixes, paste, dips, method mixes, bag mixes etc.)
Look for full details soon at the SBS site (sbsbaits.com)

8-)The good thing using neat B ('super additive' from SBS, Compulsion from Wacker in the USA) is that you can use it with any flavour you want - these may or may not be the ones selected by SBS - it's totally up to the angler....
Remember that B is not a flavour (and is not affected by flavours) so can be used with pretty much anything. Don't forget that B is a feeding stimulant, not an attractant. You also need flavours to bring fish in - B just makes them eat when they get there!!!

Hi Jamie
Great result - good to see you are getting into the swing of things!
The SBS bait formulations were mostly based off what we all have discovered from our trials and tests over the last couple of years (this was one of the main ideas behind sponsoring anglers in the first place, so great job there everyone!). This is the way I'd like to carry on - I'd like to see you guys really push the envelope with regard to trying new things with B rather than relying on commercial products.

8-)Hi All
I just got copies of the product labels to be used on the SBS line of B treated match baits. Lots for the match angler - here's the complete list of products (all available in fruit, fish or N-buytric flavours):
Pellets Groundbait Super additive (B powder) Pole potting juice (dissolved B ) match boilies paste (same stuff boiled to make the boilies) groundbait mixer

Des sent me a large .pdf with his spring catalogue - I counted at least 20 products, both big carp and match.
What I'm really excited about are the porous boilies - they leak 'B' at just the right rate and have been pretty amazing during trials. He has big and small sizes etc.

Hi Jamie Good question - Des told me just yesterday he got the packaging in for the SBS line of Biosource products. SBS intend to launch in the Spring, so look for details in the angling press in a couple of months. Due to the fact that it's just too cold to fish at the moment things are on the back burner for a couple of months! Having said that, anglers should feel free to ask SBS how things are going at their site too though: www.sbsbaits.com Cheers, Pat

I soaked it, then boiled it, in the same liquid. Freezing should not effect B, so freeing in in the soak / boiling liquid should work. Only did it once, so plenty of room for experimentation Pat

Nice post Trev
I recall reading that carp were brought over to the US from Germany many, many years ago, with just a handful of fingerlings burgeoning into the populations we see today.
BTW - the Starved Rock area of the Illinois River (were we fish) was a carp fishery (for food) during the Great Depression - that explains why there are so many carp there now...

Hi Ian BIG carp on the pole can be tricky - best bet is 20 elastic through a power kit or top 3 w/ power kit, size 12 or better hook and 8 - 10 lb test line. Oh, one more thing - HOLD ON!! Pat

Hi Folks A very early tank test of 'B' from 2006 - a small foam sponge soaked in a weak 'B' solution is dropped in, with the fish becoming stimulated to feed within a few minutes. Initial tests such as this helped us figure out: 1) the stuff works(!) and 2) a lower limit for stimulation A more vigorous 'Biosource Effect' is also seen in the field (as shown in later videos). Be sure to check out the Video page at the Biosource website for more videos: www.biosourcebaits.com/Biosourcevideo.htmPat

This one is my PB bag (93 lb)from the same year as the PB carp - prototype 'B' baits again . For those in the UK, the 'log' looking thing is a 9 lb flathead catfish that took a single grain of corn! [/img] Attachments:
